Ambassador Jamie McCourt is the former Co-Owner, President, and CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers as well as an entrepreneur, angel investor, real estate developer, educator, art collector, food and wine connoisseur and philanthropist, whose business and legal background, boundless energy and proficiency in identifying talent and opportunity has been the foundation for an accomplished career journey.

As an avid supporter of the Los Angeles art community, Ambassador Jamie McCourt served for years, until her confirmation, on the Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and the Board and Executive Committee of the Centre Pompidou Foundation. Additionally, she served on the Board of Trustees of The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and its Marketing and Governance and Nominating Committees, and was Co-Chair of MOCA’s Long Range Planning Committee. Ambassador Jamie McCourt was also appointed to the Board of Directors of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

Ambassador Jamie McCourt is a passionate supporter of financial self-sufficiency, and utilizes her unique experiences to engage young women in discussions about financial independence at institutes including Harvard, MIT and other top graduate business schools. Ambassador Jamie McCourt taught the first accredited graduate level leadership course specifically designed for women at a leading business school, with her class “The Pursuit of Leadership: A Female Perspective” at UCLA Anderson School of Management from 2005 to 2011. As an advocate for education, she served on UCLA Anderson School of Management’s Board of Advisors as well as the Americas Board at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Ambassador Jamie McCourt is a proud supporter of Israel and the Jewish community worldwide. She studied comparative law at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and received the Scopus award, the highest humanitarian honor given by the American Friends of the Hebrew University. As a former member of UNICEF’s Southern California Regional Board, Ambassador Jamie McCourt previously traveled with the US Fund for UNICEF to the Middle East and visited the Jordanian Za’atari refugee camp.

Ambassador Jamie McCourt has channeled her passion for food and wine into several culinary ventures, and received a diploma from the Sorbonne and studied in Aix-en-Provence, France. Forging her intuition for start-ups with her love of food, Ambassador Jamie McCourt has supported several culinary projects.  She has also recently purchased a 22-acre Napa Valley vineyard in renowned Rutherford, California, where she wrote her cookbook, “Jamie’s Road: Cooking in a Crowded Life.”

Ambassador Jamie McCourt received her B.S. from Georgetown University, a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, and a M.S. in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management. She practiced law in New York and Massachusetts for 14 years. Thereafter, she was in real estate development for approximately 10 years. From 2004 to 2012, Ambassador Jamie McCourt was Co-Owner, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Under her leadership, the Dodgers set club attendance records, won back-to-back division titles for the first time in 30 years, and returned to profitability.
